Newly Weds

I sat down in the park in front of the court house the other day. A couple just got married and came to take pictures. I snapped one too.

Payoff

All my hard work proved to pay off when we got our exames back from the British literature class. After writing the test I had felt terrible, like I'd missed a million things and just rambled irrationally in the essay questions. When they were returned, however, it turned out I did great. First of all, I got an A. And then, when I looked at the example-answers for the essays, my teacher had picked one of my answers as a "perfect score". How cool is that?!

Cranky

The last days have been absolutely heavenly. The day before yesterday I sat in the park outside the courthouse for hours, reading and tanning my pale winter legs. Yesterday I wore capries and my new summer top. The trees are breaking out, birds are singing bla, bla, bla. To put it short, it's spring.

So, waking up today I expected another day of niceness. I did know it was going to be a little cooler, and therefore picked long sleeves, but I did not foresee an outrage of water throwing from above...

Today, I didn't have class until ten, but went to Starbucks little before seven. There I sat, guzzling a big cup of African Redbush Tea, reading fairy tale poems. Pretty nice for a Thursday morning, don't you think? Up till this point however...

Little time was I given to enjoy my status quo, before suddenly the streets outside were being bombarded with heavy rain. It was like the sky had opened up, dropping everything in stock right outside my window.

To make a short story even shorter, I eventually reached the point when I had to leave the coziness of the cafe and trudge over to school. Through the rain, through the puddles wide as oceans. The bottom line is that my feet got soaked.

Q -
What effect does walking in wet shoes a whole day have on a person's mode?

A - Documented outcomes of such a situation are chilliness, crankiness, headache,
a desperat desire of getting home and taking your shoes of.

In this Persson, all of the above occurred.

Now school is over and I sit in the library, waiting to go home. Only two more hours of wet feet. Well, not really... I've acctually taken the shoes off and my socks are finally dry, but since the shoes are not I'm sort of stranded here. At least if I don't want to march around with wet feet. Life is so compliceted sometimes.

When I grow up I want to live in a country where it never rains
- at least when I'm outside.
